Chiropractic Tools

Whether you are new to chiropractic care or have been a patient for some time, there are a number of tools the Chiropractor uses that provide him or her assistance when performing adjustments to the body.

The most important tool of all is the trained Chiropractor’s own hands. However, in this blog post, we’ll provide an overview of the accompanying tools that may be used and what their specific purpose is.

  • Chiropractic Tables - One of the most common implements in any Chiropractor’s office is the chiropractic table(s). Depending on your Chiropractor’s personal preference or techniques used, will dictate what type of table they will select. For example, the traction table is used for decompression whereas the drop table is used to add extra force for the adjustment by way of gravity.
  • Activator Adjustment Tool – This spring-loaded tool allows the doctor to realign vertebrae by sending a low amount of force into the afflicted area of the back.
  • Electronic Impulse Adjusting Instrument – This tool is similar to the activator adjustment tool, however, is different in that it uses greater yet less painful force in treating back problems. During the treatment, the client will feel a light tapping sensation.
  • Pro Adjuster – By testing the area electronically prior to the adjustment, this software can help to determine the exact amount of force necessary as it applies to the patient being treated.
